**Empty Promises**
um...ok, this poem i dedicate it to my almost-boyfriend sam,who i won't be seeing again for more than a year...so i'll really miss him...still, i hope u like the poem i wrote from the bottom of my heart... A ringing in my ears envelops my senses
After that fatal day, you say you're the same
The ringing becomes a louder din
As the truth translates into lies and i behold
your empty promises, crushing them softly in my hand.
My promises, secrets, and truths you took for granted,
afraid to lose you, i revealed them all.
But they're as well as blown away with the dust...
A ringing, a thrumming, of my own bleeding heart
judging too quickly that yours wuold see me in other eyes.
But brown they will stay, your heartbeat steady
The memories of those empty promises,
when i let myself believe
the truth translated into lies, a false sense of security.
Those empty promises are like the blemishes on your sallow skin,
blood-red on your innocent face
*The End*
After that fatal day, you say you're the same
The ringing becomes a louder din
As the truth translates into lies and i behold
your empty promises, crushing them softly in my hand.
My promises, secrets, and truths you took for granted,

The memories of those empty promises,
