She was the absolute good never showing pain

she knew it would happen, she never thought to complain

One year before she knew nothing of hell

Today she knows nothing but, and she is here to tell

Foolishly she thought he loved her and life was a dream

These thoughts were betrayed before she could scream

His anger misplaced towards her that day

That day he told her to come to him

He first drew her blood from her skin

The day her trust towards him was shaken

She stayed with him that glimmer of hope wasn't taken

He was happier now to see her cry

The tears brought him happiness he couldn't lie

They brought her closer to the edge

Into the realtionship she had dream he hammered a wedge

She put up with this pain for months keeping it all in

Her friends unknowing of the torture in which she had been

That night he pushed her off the edge letting her fall

He wore the smile proudly after he beat her and stood tall

Her innocence died that night in a cold pool of blood

That was her end and a new her arose as if a rose from a bud

She knew this was her last chance to run

Yet she waited at his house for it wasn't done

She carried on her face a cold smirk he once had

The knife he once plunged deep into her, glad

She held it tight in her hand almost to never let go

He walked up the steps his anger ready to blow

He struck her down and didn't expect what she did after

She stood tall as he heard the blades distant cold laughter

It mocked him as he watched it shine

She saw the fear in his eyes decided not to cross that line

She gave him the knife for once unafraid

She struck him just once

All her anger in that one punch

He flew back and hit the ground at the bottom of the step

He was stunned by this action he now knew defeat in depth

she slipped him a kiss and whispered to him

"You put me through hell i won't do that to you,"

Her next words stabbed him like a knife through the heart

"I'm ending this now and will never look back,

I have broken your grasp now leave in peace,

You're only a child and i was fooled but now i know,

You know nothing of love"

These were the words his mother had spoken

The day She left him behind and broken

"I'm leaving now and I won't need to feel bad,

I am happy to forget you so stay far from my sight"

She stepped from him out of the dark and into the light

It turned into day no longer a constant night

The sun bathed her and filled her with relief

For once in so long she frorgot all her grief

She won't be touched like that again she knows how to fight

But she smiles so much now since that far away night

Her life is now gone due to that one mistake

"Now I am here there's nothing I can't take."
