Train Of Thought
The last poem from my English assignment that I want to post, except this was not originally written for the assignment. i had written it awhile ago and merely used it for the assignment. So the credit is entirely mine. :PAsk me what I'm thinking
Go on, you know you want to
Well, I couldn't tell you anyways
Because the train of thought is running
And by the time the question spills from your mouth
The train of thought has moved on
It twists and swerves and dips and bends
Through tunnels and deserts
Through meadows and cities
So fast that the scenes blur together
The tracks so complex that you never
Visit the same place twice
Occasionally, you see other trains
Just a glimpse, and they are gone
Sometimes the train is in the dark
it becomes difficult to see the light
A few times, it seems as though you are back at the start
Don't worry, you haven't really backtracked
The train of thought goes on and on
It never visits the same place twice
It runs through darkness and through light
Mildly brushing on the thoughts of others
The train of thought always goes on
Both uphill and down
Past unpleasant scenery
Through beautiful dreams
Always and forever more
Until, finally
It reaches the end
Of thought, and of living
This is your stop, get off the train
And have a nice afterlife
