Loosing a Friend (read if you've ever lost a best friend to death)

It all happened so fast.
It ended with just one crash.
All because one guy decided to drink and drive,
My friend is now no longer alive

He took her life away from her.
I ask god why did she have to suffer.
Suffer from all that pain.
I watched as her life slowly drained.

I watched as she was slowly slipping away.
I walked over to were she layed.
I grabbed her by the hand one last time,
She slowly put her hand in mine.

But then she slowly let go,
And that's when I was forced to know,
That my friend was gone.
I had known her for so long.

I never thought I'd see the day,
When my friend would be taken away.
Although we are now far apart,
She's always with me in my heart.
