Why'd you have to take her away?
I now live without her everyday.
What did she do wrong?
I knew I should've gone.
I shouldn't have let her go.
But how was I to know,
Of the chaos that was soon to unravel,
During her final fatal travel?
How was I to know that he would drink and drive?
And hit my best friend, taking her life.
I sat with her and watched her cry,
Asking "Am I going to die?"
All I could do was ask god why,
I never thought I'd have to say that final good-bye.
I'm slowly going insane,
Because of all this pain.
I wish I could see her smiling face,
If I could I'd switch her places.
She had so much to go for,
But now it's nothing but a closed door.
If only I could hear her warming laugh,
Her life I wish she could have.
I was there when she took her last breath,
Then sortly after came her death.
He took her from me (sad poem dedicated to my friend who died in a tragic car accident)
