Special For You

I wanted to write you something special,
So I got out my paper, and I got out my pencil.
But as I began to write I could not find the words,
To describe that upon me you have placed a curse.
But in a good way,
You have me head over heels and I hope this feeling will stay.
I wanted to write you a poem.
About how before you came into my life I spent most of my time feeling lonsum.
But I could not find the words to rhyme,
To match this feeling so devine.
So I tried to write you a song,
That would explain how long,
I'd been dreaming of someone like you,
Someone who'd make my gray skies blue,
The way that you do.
But I could not find a tune,
That was as amazing as you.
So then I decide I'd write you a simple note,
To tell you that I would always be devoted
To you, for you are something I helplessly desire to hold on to,
But a note just wouldn't do,
It didn't feel like it was enough for someone like you.
I tried to paint you a picture,
To give you a grasp on how amazing you are,
How the love I have for you is more then the stars.
But I got impatient waiting for the paint to dry,
And I could stand it no longer and I began to cry.
Because I could not do one thing right,
I could not find something special just for you tonight.
But then I felt someones hands around my shoulders.
I lifted my eyes and shifted them over,
And there you were standing behind me,
And out of shock a let out a shrill scream.
You picked me up and held me in your arms,
And you said you were sorry that you'd given me an alarm.
I stared at you with teared filled eyes,
And you looked me and asked me why I was crying.
I pointed to the painting I'd made just for you,
And I'd explained what I'd been trying to do.
You smiled at me, and kissed my lips,
And I held on tight to your finger tips.
I looked at you and silently said,
You are not angry? You don't want to squeeze my head?
And you wrapped me in my arms and told me I was all you needed
"But I wanted to give you something perfect!" I'd pleaded.
And you held me tight and whispered,"It's right here in my arms."
And I felt your soft hands not on my arms, but touching my heart.
And I knew that the words you'd spoken were true,
As I whispered in your ear,"I love you.."
You tighted your grip around my waste,
As you leaned in to kiss my lips,
You softly said,"I love you too."
