Hush little child.

Hello everyone. I haven't written a poem in forever, I know. But I heard that song "Mockingbird" and it made me think of the real song about diamond rings and humming birds (I forgot how it went) and it made me want to make a poem so here it is. :]]

Hush little child don't you cry,
mother's in the bathroom wounding 'why'
With every last cut you place at hand,
mother's crying louder ringing up the band--
and they play.

Hush little child don't speak a word,
this song is sung for the reassured.
While daddy's at the door, beating it down
you're hiding by the window watching the town.

He screams and he yells for you to come,
but you're too scared of breath tainted rum.
You listen and listen to what your angels say,
and they play...

"Listen to the children, they're all free.
so take my hand and come with me.
Only one sacrifice must be made,
press against your wrist, that rusted blade."

Mommy's in the shower,
daddy's yelling louder,
your heart is tapping,
the baby is napping.

Rip!

Your skin is now ripping,
 the red water's dripping.
You've soiled the ground with your tear tainted blood.
But now you feel dizzy, you fall in the mud.

Screams can be heard,
now you're reassured.
Your heart has stopped tapping,
now you're one napping.

Now you stand in a place of many places,
standing by the man with the face of many faces.
"Welcome," he said "my beloved child"
sadness in his eyes, and yet he still smiled.

All around, the kids are playing,
listen, this is what they're saying.

"Hush little child there's no fear,
your mother and father are not here.
No more hate, no hurt, no lies.
here is the only place, no one cries.
Your mommy and daddy miss you so,
But now there's no place left to go."
