My heart has been set a flame
I'm silently begging you to just ask for my name
A simple name
One that holds no real meaning
Yet to you it does, or so I am leaning
But I can't lean too far, for I fear I may fall
But then again, does that matter to you at all?
If I fall would you catch me?
A simple question, yet it leaves my heart heavy
But first I think I should ask
Though, it's not such a simple task
For the girl that is quiet
For the girl that is shy
Can you even see?
See, the heart that is me
It's broken, I know, but I've held it high
Only to get shot down, leaving behind a dealthly sigh
Just look at me please
I'm different, that's why they tease
But I see your soul, I see your mind
I see your heart, that is so kind
So kind, it has been hard for me to resist
But first, I still have to ask you this
Do you see me?
