She Cries

A broken home,
Nowhere to turn,
And yet her heart is always searching,
With hope that love is there,
And she cries herself to sleep at night,
And she doesn't want to show it,
But she's torn apart inside
And she prays every night for a change in her life,
Maybe someday she will learn to see
There are others who are waiting patiently...
For a chance to let her know
She's not alone.
I hold her hand,
She grasps it tight,
And I tell her she is needed,
