Lapse Of Reason

I've got one last confession
Before I'm through
He's coming now
On his way.
I tried to fight
But now I make flght
"Every Dog has his day"

One of the few
Bit off more than I could chew
One slip
Is all it takes
And we trip
Into a momentary lapse or reason

It's my final confession
I'll make
Before I'm through
Now He's here
I did my part
Fought my fight,
Made my flight
I attacked his heart
in the dead of night


I don't need no
Sympathy
And I don't need no
Drums to call me
After it all
He turned out to be
Not so tall
And so
He will fall
Into
A momentary Lapse of reason

And so the curtain call
And finally
Going through it all
I fought him
And through pity
Did I finally win
My last victory
So now is my last confession......
